Client came to us with a problematic LG washer (model WT4801CW) that was not working.
Our technician was sent out to see what was going on.
When Adam arrived he attempted to run diagnostics on the washer. He found out that the control board was burned out. There was no way to fix the control board because it was sealed, so he made a decision to simply replace it. An order was placed for a new control board (part number EBR73248501). Upon its arrival Adam returned and replaced it and the washer started working once more. In order to make sure everything was fine he selected a new wash cycle and began the observation. But something was not right. The agitator was not spinning, the washer was only working in a spin cycle. This made everything much more difficult, the whole washer was filled with water. The tech stopped the machine and turned it off, removed the water. Then he put the machine on its side and began to examine the motor and the transmission. Everything appeared in working condition, but when he was removing the drum of the washer he noticed that the agitator was not coming out. Further examination relieved that there was a penny jammed on the side of it. The penny was removed and the washer was put back together in a perfect working condition.
